The entire Group’s operations based in Kuala Lumpur was finally housed in TA’s own premise, known as Menara TA One, a 37-storey office and commercial tower.

TA Properties Sdn Bhd and The Philippine National Construction Corporation (PNCC) signed a joint Property Development Agreement on 29 August 1996 to develop PNCC’s 2.3 hectare property along Edsa Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, Manila into a RM7.7 billion high-rise condotel-office-commercial-residential centre.

TA Unit Trust Management Berhad (TAUTM) (known known as TA Investment Management Berhad)’s maiden fund known as TA Balanced Fund was officially launched on 1 July 1996. TA Securities Berhad which controls 70% of TAUTM was the first stockbroking house to launch a unit trust fund, without any bank support. |

TA Enterprise Berhad acquired a 24-storey office and commercial building known as “BC Gas Centre” (now known as Terasen Centre) situated at 111, West Georgia Street, Vancouver, B.C Canada for a total purchase consideration of C$91,400,000.00 equivalent to approximately RM171,832,000.00. BC Gas Centre is strategically located at the Northwest corner of Georgia and Thurlow amidst Vancouver’s most prestigious commercial and financial destinations.
