TA Enterprise net profit rise 6%

PETALING JAYA: TA Enterprise Bhd’s net profit rose 6.3% to RM30.5mil for the first quarter ended April 30 from RM28.7mil in the previous corresponding period.
Pre-tax profit improved to RM39.4mil from RM38.2mil previously due to writeback of provision for doubtful debts and impairment losses on investments as well as foreign exchange translation gain.
However, revenue dropped 38.1% to RM72mil from RM116.4mil previously.
In a statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the group said it had recorded a drop in brokerage income and income from sale of properties compared with the previous corresponding period.
